The figurehead of Kia Kaha Media, Ned has built a reputation as one of the best aviation photographers out there, and regularly travels the globe shooting images for all the Kia Kaha Media publications. He also leads the team in the development of all the Kia Kaha Media projects.

Craig Lord
Editor – P1 & P1 Dirt

Based in Auckland New Zealand, Craig Lord AKA ‘Sooty’ has a way with words that has enabled him to become an established writer and has been published across many different fields from engineering manuals through to off-road racing. He has managed to immerse himself into a career of doing what loves and what he does best – writing and talking. As well as his tasks within the Kia Kaha Media publications Sooty is a Talk-back radio host, television presenter and an MC at many of New Zealand’s major sporting and commercial events.

Hannah Hawes
Editor – Pegasus

Hannah was born and bred in Christchurch. After completing her Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications, she spent five years in Auckland, starting in October 2005, producing predominantly motorsport TV coverage for TVNZ, TV3, Prime TV and Sky Sport as well as a weekly equestrian programme for Country 99 TV. Hannah returned to Christchurch in April 2011 and is now a freelance TV producer and production manager as well as being the Editor of Pegasus. She lives on 10 acres in North Canterbury with 5 horses and a pony.

Stephen Thomas
NASCAR Editor – P1

Stephen is a freelance writer and property manager who lives in New Jersey, has covered motorsports in general and NASCAR in particular for Sports Illustrated, SI.com, and FOXSports.com, among other outlets. Since leaving publishing full-time, Thomas has continued to write about and report on NASCAR for The Sporting News and ESPN The Magazine.

Chris Jewell

Chris is the voice of V8 Supercars as the official championship commentator. His business, Velocity Management Group specialises in all things motor racing - specifically sponsorship, public relations and journalism, young driver development and career management. Chris is also a former racer and held the position of General Manager for Jason Brights’ Britek Motorsport operation.

Jacki Warnock
Contributing Editor - P1 Magazine

Jacki has worked in the motorsport industry since December 2006. Starting out by assisting in the V8 Supercar media centres, Jacki soon moved on to do public relations for a Fujitsu V8Supercar team in 2007 before completing a stint at Marinelli Motorsport PR. Moving to Melbourne in 2008 from her native Adelaide, she further developed her PR and event organising skills, working on such clients as Holden Motorsport and Jack Daniel’s Racing. Expanding her horizons Jacki took on the journalism side of things, while still assisting with on event media for the Bathurst 12 Hour. 2011 saw her make the move to London to cover the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula One, alongside the GP2 and GP3 series

Alan Norris

Born in London, England, Alan trained as an engineer working for the British Government in Research and Development. He has been a freelance aviation journalist for over 30 years specializing in helicopter related journalism and photography. Alan was one of the founders of The Helicopter Museum, located in the South West of England, developing it in to the world’s largest dedicated helicopter museum. He was Restoration Manager for over ten years organizing the conservation and preservation of the collection. Alan is also involved in helicopter sport flying and is a Fédération Aéronautique Internationale registered judge.

Alex Mladenov
Eastern European Correspondent – HeliOps & Cleared HOT

Alex was born near Sofia in Bulgaria and has been working as an aerospace journalist and photographer since 1991. He specializes in East European and Russian aviation topics with a particular interest in the latest rotorcraft technology and business developments. Alex has a mechanical engineering MS degree from Sofia Technical University (1996) and is also Reserve Officer (Air Defence Branch) in the Bulgarian Army. He is a co-founder and Managing Partner of an aerospace and defence consulting company based in Bulgaria.

Glenn White

Glen is President of EuroSafety, which provides initial and recurrent pilot training in the Eurocopter and Agusta product range. He learnt to fly helicopters in Southern France and over his career has performed a wide variety of missions.
Flying for the US Navy Aegis contract he provided airborne logistical support to and from destroyers, cruisers, LHDs and aircraft carriers, along with retrieving and slinging drones back to land. As a Bell 412 instructor at FlightSafety he provided initial and recurrent training for pilots from around the world. -
Tony Moffatt

Tony Moffatt is a veteran of 21 years aviation service with the U.S. Army as a tactical helicopter pilot and unit commander, experimental test pilot and engineer, and acquisition program manager. He is a Master Army Aviator with a broad experience in operational and developmental assignments from the USSOCOM MH47G Chinook development to the NASA International Space Station. Currently he is the CEO of an engineering and acquisition consulting firm specializing in U.S. Department of Defense aviation systems development and program analysis. Tony writes from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay where he lives with his wife and five children.
