Transwest receives FAA approval for VR Mission Equipment

Previously approved by Transport Canada Civil Aviation and now approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. Transwest’s Bell Medium Vertical Reference Doors are approved for the Bell 205A-1, 212, 214B/B1 and 412, 412EP, 412CF aircraft and are readily available.

Transwest Vertical Reference Doors allow the pilot to move further outward, improving visibility with the deep blown window, and improving the line-of-sight view for external loads. “Our goal was to develop products so a pilot could comfortably perform Vertical Reference missions and not feel broken at the end of their day. With the LH VR Door and the LH Seat Frame, and Cushion Modification, we have provided a more ergonomic position that makes flying these missions more comfortable and less exhausting with reduced vibration. Many pilots have struggled for years. We are excited to provide solutions to improve the Bell Medium Pilots comfort in the USA”, explains Doug Maki, Director of Maintenance at Transwest Helicopters.
