The European Commion has sponsored a workshop on aerial forest firefighting interoperability in Nîmes, France. It brought together pilots, crews and ground coordinators involved in forest firefighting operations to help improve teamwork and safety between teams, including during international missions, practice using flight simulators and the exchange of knowledge and best practices. It was run over five days with 12 European countries sending representatives to build stronger wildfire preparedness.
