Pegasus Aero Group and SkyConnect Leasing have entered into a strategic agreement and signed a long-term multi-aircraft lease agreement to add UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters for wildfire suppression, civil protection and emergency-response operations. The agreement combines Pegasus’s operational expertise with SkyConnect’s dedicated Black Hawk leasing platform, enabling Pegasus to develop new capabilities for the European and Latin American markets. The transaction is a milestone in Pegasus's growth plan and strengthens the company's position in the heavy-lift helicopter segment, a category that has historically played an essential role in demanding aerial missions. By adding a significant number of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, Pegasus—one of Europe's leading aerial emergency operators—underscores the importance of high-capacity, high performance and highly versatile aircraft in addressing the challenges posed by increasingly intense and prolonged fire seasons in Europe and Latin America.

The first helicopters will be delivered from March 2027 under a long-term lease signed by the two companies. The program also provides for future fleet growth and close collaboration between the two companies on developing operational capabilities associated with the Black Hawk platform.

The decision to commit to the UH-60 Black Hawk aligns with an increasing demand in Europe, where high-capacity aircraft are required for water-dropping and other emergency services. The selected model combines high payload capacity, reliability, availability and flexibility for complex missions.

Through this strategic agreement, Pegasus strengthens its heavy-lift helicopter operations, a segment in which it has accumulated more than 12,000 flight hours over its 60-year history. The addition of these aircraft will take Pegasus's fleet beyond 140 aeroplanes and helicopters for firefighting, rescue and medical-emergency missions.

SkyConnect Leasing is a specialized aviation lessor focused on mission-critical aircraft for emergency response operations. The company has developed a dedicated Blackhawk leasing platform for firefighting, combining flexible financing, aircraft availability and specialized support for experienced operators that need to deploy capabilities quickly and efficiently.
