For the first time, Arctic specialists from Denmark’s Jægerkorpset (Special Forces)have been deployed to Greenland’s most demanding terrain
along the Blosseville Coast.
“The Arctic specialists are able to move, patrol, and carry out missions in areas where cold, ice, storms, and extreme distances make even
simple tasks highly complex,” said Christopher Sohl, acting commander of the Sirius Patrol.
The purpose of the new capability includes strengthening the presence in the Arctic and enabling operations across Greenland, including in
high-alpine terrain.
