Following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela in June, U.S. Special Operations Forces have deployed rapid response elements to support U.S. Embassy led disaster assistance efforts. Working alongside interagency partners, USSOF personnel have provided agile and sustained support to deliver critical aid to affected communities when they needed it most.

At the direction of SOUTHCOM, assigned U.S. military forces are supporting U.S. Department of State-led U.S. disaster assistance to the people of Venezuela.
