Canadian based Blackcomb Helicopters, a helicopter tour and Utilities Company in the Pacific Northwest, has announced the sale of their sightseeing business and aviation assets to Summit Helicopters.
Blackcomb Helicopters was started in 1989 from Whistler, British Columbia, operating a Bell 206. It has specialized in mountain flying operations, including SAR, tourism, firefighting and forestry support.
Summit will now operate Blackcomb’ fleet of seven helicopters and continue operations at their Squamish and Whistler bases in utility, film, firefighting, and emergency response and will continue to offer their sightseeing tours under the Blackcomb brand.
