Enstrom Helicopter Corporation (Enstrom) has delivered a new 480B turbine helicopter to Safomar Aviation (Safomar), its longtime authorized
distributor serving South Africa and much of Sub-Saharan Africa. The delivery not only reflects the company’s longstanding partnership, but
also marks Enstrom's first commercial aircraft delivery since resuming production—an important milestone as the company continues expanding
support for both commercial and military operators worldwide.
Since establishing their partnership, Enstrom and Safomar have worked together to support commercial, military, and private operators
throughout the region. Beyond aircraft sales, Safomar provides maintenance and customer support—helping ensure aircraft operators receive
local expertise throughout the life cycle of the aircraft.
"Safomar has been an exceptional representative of the Enstrom brand for many years," said Chuck Wade, senior vice president of
product, sales and customer excellence. "This delivery reflects more than the transfer of an aircraft— it represents the continued
strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to supporting customers throughout South Africa and the broader African market. It
also marks an important milestone for Enstrom as our first commercial aircraft delivery since resuming production, reinforcing our ability
to serve both commercial and military customers around the world."
“Enstrom and Safomar’s [relationship] is a living example of trust, collaboration, and focus on a superb product, superior support, and
[dedication to] constant improvements” shares Shai Shalem, Founder and CEO of Safomar Group. “We both have our customers’ safety and
requirements as our top priorities. Our joint objective is to further expand the African market with solutions that Enstrom’s superb
products provide.”
Once in South Africa, the aircraft will support Safomar's continued efforts to demonstrate the capabilities of the Enstrom 480B while
strengthening customer relationships throughout the region. The delivery further reinforces the companies' shared commitment to providing
dependable aircraft, local expertise, and long-term support for operators across Africa.
Additional updates will be shared following the aircraft's arrival in South Africa, highlighting its delivery, entry into service, and the
continued collaboration between Enstrom and Safomar in supporting operators throughout the region.
