TrustFlight has announced that London’s Air Ambulance Charity has adopted TrustFlight’s Smart Documents and Smart Regulations capabilities across its fleet of Airbus H135 helicopters, further expanding a partnership that began in 2023.

London’s Air Ambulance Charity first adopted TrustFlight’s Centrik 5 platform in 2023 after peer recommendations from fellow HEMS operators, deploying it as the core of its safety management system. In May 2025, the charity expanded its subscription to include UK Continuing Airworthiness Regulations. The adoption of Smart Documents and Smart Regulations marks the third expansion of the partnership in under three years and follows a demonstration at the annual TrustFlight Forum that prompted the operator to explore the platform’s AI-powered compliance capabilities.

HEMS providers face the compliance burden of multiple overlapping regulatory frameworks, demanding operational tempos, and clinical teams that cannot afford to be slowed by administrative complexity. By adopting Smart Documents and Smart Regulations, London’s Air Ambulance has moved from a strong safety management foundation to a fully connected compliance ecosystem, where documentation, regulation, and safety data are unified in a single platform.

Smart Documents transforms how London’s Air Ambulance creates, validates, and distributes its documentation across the organisation. It combines an integrated AI assistant to accelerate content creation using both regulatory and organisational context, streamlines review and approval workflows through automated routing, and ensures regulatory requirements are linked directly to relevant content sections for full traceability across departments. Critically for a HEMS operator, findings and actions raised in Centrik 5 can be traced directly to the relevant procedures and manuals, creating a closed loop between safety management and documentation that ensures safety intelligence drives continuous improvement.

“We hold ourselves to the highest standards in everything we do, both clinically and operationally,” said Jay Young, Safety and Compliance Manager at London’s Air Ambulance. “Smart Documents gives us the tools to manage our documentation with greater precision and efficiency, so our teams spend less time navigating administrative complexity and more time focused on the mission.”

Alongside Smart Documents, London’s Air Ambulance has also adopted Smart Regulations, TrustFlight’s agentic AI compliance engine. With real-time access to more than 120 international aviation regulatory frameworks, continuous amendment tracking, and specialist AI agents that deliver accurate, referenced analysis, Smart Regulations ensures regulatory changes are identified, assessed, and acted upon as they happen. For special missions operators managing complex frameworks across HEMS, CAT, and national authority requirements, continuous regulatory intelligence is no longer optional.

“London’s Air Ambulance Charity is one of the most respected air medical operators in the UK, serving over 10 million Londoners,” said Karl Steeves, CEO at TrustFlight. “They came to us through word of mouth from fellow operators, expanded their Centrik deployment, and are now among the first HEMS operators to adopt our Smart Suite products. That progression reflects exactly how we believe aviation safety should evolve: from a strong foundation of proven safety management to AI-powered compliance intelligence, all connected in a single platform.”

Together, Smart Documents and Smart Regulations are core components of TrustFlight’s connected compliance ecosystem. With their adoption, London’s Air Ambulance now operates on a fully integrated Safety Intelligence Platform where safety management, documentation, and regulatory compliance function as one connected system. TrustFlight is the only partner in aviation that brings this level of integration together, closing the gaps where risk accumulates.
