The flight test crew has flown the AW09 on a non-stop for 4 hours and 50 minutes and enjoyed a stunning view of the Matterhorn and the mission is the longest to flight date in Switzerland with the AW09.

The flight offered exceptional visibility over the Swiss Alps, while providing valuable real-flight conditions for the aircraft. It was performed as part of the Function & Reliability Test campaign, a key phase aimed at validating the helicopter’s systems, endurance, and overall performance.

This achievement marks another important step forward in demonstrating the AW09’s maturity and readiness for entry into service, confirming the robustness of its design and capabilities.
