Axnes, AS have announced it has completed Precision Helicopters successful integration of the Axnes PNG Wireless Intercom System (WICS) into multiple AS332 L1 Super Puma helicopters, marking a significant advancement for their aerial mission capability and crew safety. These aircraft are now fully equipped to support United States Forest Service (USFS) contracts, offering unmatched initial attack capability.  The Super Puma is a modern multi-mission helicopter providing fire agencies with; bucket and tank water-dropping, passenger transport, initial attack rappel, and internal and external cargo resupply missions.

Precision is the first North American operator to outfit the AS332 platform with the Axnes PNG system specifically for firefighting missions—setting a new standard in operational efficiency and enhanced crew communications.

The Axnes PNG WICS is a cutting-edge wireless communication solution designed for seamless integration into any aircraft communication suite or as a standalone portable system. It delivers robust, secure, and full-duplex communication, enabling crew members to maintain real-time contact without the limitations of wired intercom systems. This “cutting the cord” innovation significantly reduces the risk of cord snag hazards and enhances crew mobility both inside and outside the aircraft. Additionally, PNG is designed to perform effectively in high noise environments.
