The day before the shoot, snow had fallen and the wind had picked up, so accumulations of blown snow created this magnificent cloud of powder.

I captured this H125 from Savoie Hélicoptères during an air-to-air shoot. We're in the French Alps on a fire-fighting training mission. We had the opportunity to practice for a long time, which prompted me to try a “full disc”, which worked out quite well - you can see the helicopter and bucket in the water through the rotor disc.

I captured this H125 from Savoie Hélicoptères during an air-to-air shoot. We're in the French Alps, on a mission to hoist rope access technicians onto a cliff to secure a road. During the shoot, snow began to fall, enabling us to capture this image in extreme conditions, showing the H125 in action.

We can see the H125 lifting a tree weighing around 1 tonne, from this rare angle where the tree appears so close despite a 30-meter long sling, all under the snow.

Los Angeles County Fire Copter 22, fighting the Hawk Incident in Acton, California. The aircraft and hand crews were trying to keep the flames from crossing a ridgeline on the hillside. The helicopter made amazing turns while dropping water to put the water exactly where it was needed.
