The Green Fire started off of CA-38 in a valley between two large mountains in the San Bernardino National Forest and it was moving up the back side of the mountains. Cal Fire’s Firehawk dropped high on the top of the mountain to prevent the fire from cresting over. I loved the soft pastel colors and how the falling water interacted with the smoke-filled sky, which was reminiscent of a painting. I quickly turned my camera to get a vertical photograph for a more unique composition.
