The Portuguese Air Force have collected their seventh UH-60L from ACE Aeronautics in Huntsville.

The Portuguese AF flew one of their Embraer KC-390 Millennium transport aircraft, operated by Esquadra 506 based in Beja, into Huntsville International for the collection and will be returning in August for the next two.

The Portuguese Air Force signed a contract, worth 30 million euros, with Ace Aeronautics for three UH-60L models equipped with the ACE flight deck in 2024 with deliveries to be completed by August 2026.

The UH-60L will join the existing fleet of four UH-60As operated by Esquadra 551, based in Ovar, to enhance their aerial firefighting capabilities.
