The Brazilian Army (Exército Brasileiro) Aviation has received the 15th and last H225M, out of a total of 15, at the facilities of the company Helibras, based in Itajubá, Brazil.

The helicopter is part of the H-XBR Program, signed in 2008 with the Ministry of Defense, to provide 50 H225M for the three Armed Forces. This included 16 for each Armed Force and 2 for the Special Transport Group, later the scope was reduced to 15 aircraft per force.

The Brazilian Army Aviation operate three Battalions: 1st BAvEx (Taubaté-SP), 4th BAvEx (Manaus-AM) and Dst AvEx/CMAO (Belém-PA), all operating different missions, such as troop transport, logistical support and responding to national emergences.

The fleet of H225Ms is also covered by an Airbus Helicopters’ HCare Smart by the hour maintenance program.
