The Österreichisches Bundesheer (Austrian Armed Forces) has taken delivery of the 12th and final AW169B, locally known as "Lion", at Aigen im Ennstal. In total, the Austrian Armed Forces will receive a total of 36 AW169s.

The AW169B is the training version and a further 24 AW169MA, Multirole Advanced, variants are currently under construction by Leonardo as tactical multi-purpose helicopters with deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of 2026.
