The French Air and Space Force has officially retired its SA330 Pumas from French Guiana after 47 years of service.

The SA330 Puma had been in service since 1979, operating Escadron de Transport 68 Antilles-Guyane based at Cayenne, Félix Eboué Airport, providing personnel and freight transport, MEDEVAC and SAR missions. The SA330 will be replaced by the H225M Caracal in French Guiana and are the first overseas unit to operate the type. The first H225M was delivered in 2024 and continued through 2025 and 2026.
