The U.S. Department of War has awarded Boeing an $876 million contract to supply up to 60 CH-47F Block II helicopters for Germany under a Foreign Military Sales order.
Boeing has been awarded a hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract for up to 60 CH-47F Block II Cargo Helicopters, including performance-based logistics, training and non-recurring engineering. The amount of this action is $876,422,130. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 28, 2035. Fiscal 2026 Germany case funds in the amount of $876,422,130 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
The CH-47F Block II aircraft will replace the Luftwaffe’s CH-53G fleet, currently based at Holzdorf and Laupheim, that will be phased out by 2030.
