Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control has received a contract from the U.S. Government for the production of Generation 4 Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor systems. This contract supports the recent U.S. Government Foreign Military Sales agreement for AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for the Polish Air Force. This order marks the first time that the Common Sensor Electronic Unit and Generation 2 Turret will be provided as baselines for the AH-64E sensors.

The Gen 4 TADS/PNVS system, including the CSEU and Gen 2 Turret, provides pilots with long-range, precision engagement and pilotage capabilities for day, night and adverse weather missions. This sensor system will enable the Apache to remain at a safe distance while effectively engaging targets.

"We are proud to support Poland's modernization efforts by providing our battle-proven TADS/PNVS systems for their new AH-64E Apache helicopters,” said Tom Eldredge, Director of Rotary Wing Sensors at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

In addition, Lockheed Martin will partner with Poland to establish a TADS/PNVS Special Repair Activity at WZL1 in Łódź, increasing the Polish industrial base.

“The SRA will support local maintenance and repair of most Gen 4 TADS/PNVS system repairable parts,” said Eldredge. “This capability will enable the Polish Air Force to quickly complete any required maintenance and keep their aircraft operational.”
